PRIVACY NOTICE
Respecting
Your Discretion.
LuX V Inc. respects the discretion of guests and prospective guests of The LuX V Society Ball. This notice explains how we handle personal information in connection with this website, private inquiries, invitations and event administration. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable, and applicable Ontario requirements.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, company or title, referral, inquiry category, message and consent choices. Applications, invitation correspondence and ticket orders may also include guest names, contact details, admission identifiers and payment confirmation records. If you share accessibility or dietary needs, provide only information necessary to arrange assistance. Please avoid sending financial details or sensitive information through the inquiry form.
Website delivery and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and request logs. The site loads fonts from an external font service, which receives connection information such as your IP address. Ticketing and payment services may collect additional information during checkout; review their notices before providing it.
Purpose and confidentiality
We use personal information to assess and respond to inquiries, review guest applications, manage invitations and approvals, administer orders and admission, communicate event details, respond to accommodation requests, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. An inquiry does not guarantee approval.
Guest identities, applications, invitation details and professional information are treated as confidential. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a need to perform these functions. We do not sell personal information or publish guest lists for marketing without consent. Disclosure may occur with your consent or where permitted or required by law. Attendance in a shared venue cannot ensure anonymity to other guests.
Service providers and cross-border processing
Authorized providers may process information for website hosting, form submissions, communications, ticketing, payments and security. They receive information needed for their functions, subject to appropriate contractual or other safeguards. Information may be processed or stored outside Ontario or Canada, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement or government authorities under local law. LuX V Inc. remains responsible for personal information under its control. Contact us for information about service-provider practices and cross-border handling.
Ticket payments
Ticket payments take place through the linked ticketing service and its payment processor. Enter card or banking information only through the provider’s secure checkout, never by email or through the inquiry form. This website does not collect payment-card details in its own forms. LuX V Inc. may receive order details, payment status and transaction references for reconciliation and admission administration. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own privacy and security terms; review these at checkout.
Security and privacy incidents
Reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information are used to reduce unauthorized access, loss, misuse and disclosure. No website, transmission or storage method can guarantee security. Suspected privacy incidents are assessed and addressed; where required by applicable law, we maintain breach records, report to the appropriate privacy regulator and notify affected individuals, including where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
Retention and your choices
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including event administration, legal and accounting requirements and dispute resolution, then securely deleted or de-identified as appropriate. You may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion or withdrawal of consent by emailing staff@luxliqs.com. We may verify your identity before acting. Legal retention duties and other lawful exceptions may limit a request; we explain applicable limitations and respond within the time required by law. Withdrawing information needed for admission may affect our ability to administer your participation.
Communications and marketing consent
The inquiry form’s consent relates to responding to your inquiry. It is not consent to unrelated marketing. Promotional electronic messages are sent only with consent or another lawful basis under Canada’s anti-spam legislation. You can withdraw marketing consent through the unsubscribe option in a promotional message or by contacting us. Necessary order and event administration messages may still be sent where legally permitted.
Photography and recording
Admission does not by itself grant unrestricted permission to use your image or voice for publicity. Any organizer-arranged photography or recording, its purposes and available consent choices will be communicated before recording, and consent obtained where required. Contact the private office about your preferences or to withdraw consent for future uses, subject to lawful limits. Guests must respect other guests’ privacy and obtain permission before photographing, recording or sharing identifying information. See the Terms of Admission.
Privacy inquiries and complaints
For questions, rights requests or complaints, contact the privacy contact at LuX V Inc., staff@luxliqs.com. We review concerns and explain our response. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another competent privacy regulator where applicable.
